Before and After

Here is a pic of the Egyptian with the woodgrain painted floor for Awesome 80's prom, then a pic of a fresh coat of black on the stage and the movie screen in for the showing of Absinthe Films Snowboard Movie titled "Nowhere". There was going to be a picture of my face as it is seen in a state of soul crushing disappointment when I found a pile of vomit after the film showing that I had to clean up... but the soul crushing disappointment was so intense that I couldn't bring myself to document the moment. So here is a visual aide of Chewie's soul crushing disappointment... :((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((((...le sigh. My next post will be the vomit tales of lore from ye lande o'theatre. I have several. Warning, soul crushing disappointment may ensue...

Calm before the HOLY S**T!

Well, 80's prom has closed. It was a fun show but it certainly came complete with several near trainwrecks. I have never seen stage combat almost end so horribly. One gentleman in the cast nearly lost a finger due to infection from stage combat gone horribly wrong. This is just one of several strange incidents from this show. Well, lesson learned and at least everyone was fine and now I have a great story to tell from it. Now the ETC Tech crew has a possibly turbulent few months ahead. Only 20 days until the Great American Trailer Park Musical opens, and only a few weeks untill we Host Odyssey Dance Theatre's Thriller, and Some Dracula show I have no clue about, but I do know that auditions will be held because I just happened by and article about this show in the paper this morning. And with another youtheatre show and a Christmas show looming over our heads, it's sure to be a busy as hell race to the finish until the Sundance Film Fest. I am excited about the upcoming shows, but it's just a lot to cram into these next few months. Sundance will seem like a vacation...lol. I never thought I would be happy to think about the impending arrival of New York and Los Angeles' finest douchebags. Coming soon will be photos of recent Theatre activity and photos of my mad scientist type tinkering.

Shows- Weekend of July 30th thru August 1st

Thanks to Samuel James and Michael Kelsey for some killer shows this weekend. Gave me a chance to see what our shiny new sound system can do!

Awesome 80's Prom

The woodgrain floor for "The Awesome 80's Prom" is nearly done. It turned out quite nicely I think. Gaffer has a play by play look at how it all came together. Photos of it soon.
